PVNet SWFT 2026 – National Competition Results
Designing a Sustainable Future on the Moon & in Orbit
The National Space Sustainability Competition (SWFT) is a nationwide challenge for students in grades 6–8 to design solutions that enable humans to live and work sustainably on the Moon and beyond.
The competition encourages creativity, engineering thinking, and real-world problem solving focused on space sustainability.
🏆 2026 Results
We are proud to announce that PVNet SWFT Team 6 earned 1st place nationally in the 2026 competition.
This achievement reflects exceptional work in engineering design, innovation, and teamwork at a national level.

✨ PVNet’s Legacy of Excellence
Last year, PVNet teams swept the competition taking both 1st and 2nd place nationally in the SWFT Competition! Their outstanding work earned them an exclusive tour of SpaceX and a trip to Washington, D.C., where they met a NASA astronaut and shared their projects with industry leaders.

🚀 Why This Matters
The SWFT Competition provides students with a rare opportunity to engage in real-world aerospace challenges while developing skills in engineering, design, and communication.
PVNet students consistently demonstrate that middle school students, when properly guided, can compete — and win — at the national level.
🔭 Looking Ahead
SWFT is expected to host another competition beginning in late 2026 through early 2027. Families should keep an eye out for upcoming announcements so their students can participate in the next opportunity.
