Are you ready to be a part of the next generation of space pioneers? SWFT’s Space Sustainability Competition challenges 7th and 8th graders to take on one of the most critical issues of our time: SPACE JUNK.

What is the Competition About?​
​
This event is all about innovation, creativity, and impact. Students will:

Tackle the urgent problem of space debris management.

Design unique solutions using digital models, business strategies, and video storytelling.

Work in teams of 2–4 under the guidance of a teacher or mentor.

Who Can Participate?
U.S. students in grades 7–8, supervised by an adult mentor

What’s Required in the competition:
1. A 3-minute video pitch explaining your solution.
2. A digital model showcasing your design.
3. A concise business plan with commercialization ideas.

Deadlines:
Registration Deadline: January 31, 2025
Submissions Due: March 21, 2025
Winners Announced: May 2, 2025

Judging Criteria:
Creativity, Feasibility, Technical Presentation, Business Viability, and Video Quality.​
