Halloween Haunted House
Welcome to the Promenade Build a haunted House Project!
Help Create the 2026 Promenade PV Haunted House!
Each year, Promenade PV hosts a large community Halloween event with trick-or-treating throughout the mall, a costume contest, carnival rides and games, giveaways, cotton candy, and other family activities.
One of the biggest attractions is the Haunted House.
A vacant storefront is transformed into a themed walk-through experience using sets, props, theatrical lighting, sound, special effects, and live performers. Younger children can enjoy a less-scary walk-through with flashlights, while older kids and adults get the full experience with jump scares and special effects.
We’re Looking for 12th Grade Students to Help Create It
The kick-off meeting and orientation is September 12 at 4 PM at PVNet.
Through PVNet, students will be able to receive community service/volunteer hours, as well as a letter of recognition for their participation.
Students will have the opportunity to help:

Design and build sets, props, and decorations

Work with theatrical lighting, sound, mechanical effects, and other show technology

Help create the layout and atmosphere of the Haunted House

Assist with setup and build sessions before Halloween

Perform inside the Haunted House and help guide visitors through

Help direct guests around the mall and toward the Haunted House entrance
The mall’s in-house team has experience with set design, theatrical lighting, sound, and show effects, making this a hands-on opportunity for students interested in building, engineering, theater, design, electronics, or simply creating something memorable for the community.

The Main Event is Halloween Night!

The primary commitment is approximately 3–4 hours during the Halloween event.
Build and setup sessions will be scheduled in advance based on student availability. The Haunted House may also open on additional days, but participation on those days would be optional.
In previous years, local high school students — including drama students — helped operate the Haunted House and had a great time performing and working behind the scenes.
This is a chance to help create one of the mall’s biggest community events, work with a real production team, and build something thousands of local families can enjoy.
