This hands-on, academically driven program provides a unique opportunity for participants to gain professional experience and build valuable skills through real-world application.
 

Interns will research and develop AI-powered workflows for digital journalism, exploring every step from subject ideation to article publication.

🔹 Program Objective:
To explore and develop the future of journalism by leveraging AI technologies for article generation, digital reporter creation, and automated publishing workflows.
 

📚 Internship Overview:
In this summer research internship, students will use AI to:

• Conceive story subjects

• Write and edit articles

• Create compelling, optimized headlines

• Build consistent digital journalist personas (with names, styles, and voices)

• Possibly generate avatars to accompany stories

• Publish finalized stories to PVNet’s website and optionally submit to outside news agencies
   

Topics will be inspired by PVNet’s programs, community STEM projects, and past local media coverage. Students will help refine a repeatable AI-powered publishing workflow.
 

🔹 Participation Requirements

• Must be in grades 9 through college

• Commit 10 hours/week on-site at PVNet

• Complete at least two published articles

• Collaborate on shared workflow documentation

• Create personal accounts on required AI platforms
