The course will focus on teaching students the basics of Unreal Engine 4 by making a simple game.
There are two key topics in this course:
Understanding the basic usage of Unreal Engine. Students learn how to navigate through the various screens/menus, and set up a basic template for a game.
Learning how to use blueprints, a visual programming feature in Unreal Engine. In other words, without typing codes, students can program the game by dragging and dropping boxes on a chart and connecting them together. Students will use the blueprints to control game mechanics such as moving the marble around and switching between different levels in the game.
