Move forward with your learning with our Commutate This class! Learn about basic motor theory and apply theory into practice with skills like soldering, building motors, and assembling the motors to show interesting physics effects. Amaze your friends and get an A in that science fair project with the fascinating prevost-fechner-benham effect.
In this workshop, you will:
Be introduced to basic motor theory
Receive instruction on soldering
Build and leave with brushless motor
Use the assembled motor to demonstrate an optical illusion called the prevost-fechner-benham effect
All of the necessary tools for construction will be provided. All participants will receive instruction on soldering, no experience necessary. Everyone will take home a working device.
