BIOMED ENG: Converting Dog's Thoughts Into Words
Recording and analyzing EEG signals in animals can offer insight into brain activity. For example, a dog brain produces specific brain waves when it sees a treat and other distinct brain waves when its sees its owner.
This class will teach you how EEG can be done on dogs to detect their brain activity,as in when they see a treat, detect it and recognize it and let a prerecorded message play as if they spoke. The learning experience includes understanding all the concepts needed as well as setting up a data collection device and Arduino-based Machine Learning algorithm to interpret it.
It is fun, educational, and hands-on! This is a great introductory class to Biomedical Engineering - don't miss it. No experience necessary.
